June 17 2015

Good  morning everyone.  Today I will be studying  psalms  46.  We  need  to  realize that  even  when  things  in our  lives  look  the  worst that God  has  already  taking control  of them and we  have victory  over  them.  God will  be there  for us  just as  he was  for David all we  have to  do  is asked  and He  will grant  our needs .  We may, in singing it, apply it either to our spiritual enemies, and be more than conquerors over them, or to the public enemies of Christ’s kingdom in the world and their threatening insults.

He checks the rage and breaks the power of the nations that oppose him and his interests in the world.
God  will not  let  the nations  fo this  world  keep  mocking  Him and  getting away with it.  We  need to  remember  that He is  God and  will always  be God.  I thank him for  this and praise  his name  for all he has done for me.
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Galatians 6: 7-8 (KJV)

Pray:  Dear  Heavenly Father  I thank you for  your live and grace.  I thank  yor  for  my friends and family that  your  have giving me.  I pray  that you watch  over each of them and give  them  their needs today.  I pray for the  ones  that  are sick and  hurting both physically and mentally,  I asked  that you watch  0ver them  and heal them.  I praise  your  wonderful  and loving  name.  I pray  that  you will be  owth  our military and their families.  Help  me  to day to be a better  servant  for  you then  what I wan yesterday.  Lead  us  and  guide us in all that we do today.  we  want fail to give  the honor and  glory to  you because  it all is  your  in Jesus name I pray amen.

James is at work and the  boys are up.  Terrie is still asleep right now.  I am fixing to take baby out for walk and then  read my Bible.

Applications:
1.  Our Lord is to be celebrated!  We are to clap our hands and even shout with the voice of joy to Him.  We are to sing praises to Him with a skillful psalm or song.  Are you in the habit of praising the Lord in this way?  What would hold you back from doing so?  The Scriptures tell us that even the trees clap their hands to Him.  Comment on the following Scriptures and be encouraged to praise our Lord with all of creation!
  • Psalm 96:11-13 -11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
13 Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
  • Psalm 98:7-9 -Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

  • Isaiah 44:23 -Sing, O ye heavens; for the Lord hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
  • Isaiah 55:12 -For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
  • Luke 19:37-40 -37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
2.  The Lord chose the nation of Israel to show Himself through and He chooses all of those in the body of Christ in the same way.  We should delight where the lines of our inheritance have fallen on earth but also rejoice in the inheritance that is to come for us in heaven!  Comment on the following Scriptures:
We  should  alway  give  the honor an praise  to God for  everything  that  we  have and everything we do .  These verse are  tell us not  to worry abut  what we  have and what peoples  see us do  down here  but  to  lay  up  our treasures  on Heaven If  it was  not for God's  grace and mercy  we would be lost and have no hope  of life  with  him.
  • Psalm 16:5,6 -The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
  • Luke 14:12-14 -12 Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
  • John 14:2-3 -In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
3.  We looked at how God rules over our lives and all the nations in our lesson for Psalm 46, but since the Psalmist repeats in this Psalm about how God reigns over the nations, let's review some verses and look at some new ones about how our God reigns over all the nations of the earth.  Comment on the following Scriptures:
These verse  are  telling  us  that  as  we  already know  there is only one God and  He  rules  ove  all the  earth.

  • Psalm 2:1-12 -Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

  • Psalm 46:8-10 -Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
  • Psalm 47:8 -God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
  • Isaiah 46:11 -11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
  • Jeremiah 32:17 -17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
